NATHAN SCHUSS +
Nathan Schuss is Chief Executive Officer of Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Nathan began his career working for a Florida waste consulting firm, reducing costs for property owners. Nathan parlayed his experience into a job as Vice President at one of the largest lenders in the country where he successfully originated HUD, agency, and bridge loans for nearly a decade. Nathan’s primary focus was utilizing HUD products to help his clients purchase, build, and refinance their properties with long-term debt solutions. Nathan attributes his achievements to the prime attraction of the HUD-insured loan: the ability to get a loan on a property and never have to worry about financing again, especially in a volatile interest rate market. Nathan’s expertise in the field led to the formation of Harper Capital Partners. At Harper, Nathan leads the production team and works directly with developers and owners to help them achieve their long-term plans. Nathan also sets the direction of overall operations for the firm.
Nathan graduated from Sy Syms School of Business with a BS degree in General Business. He lives in Englewood, New Jersey, where he serves on the board of a community nonprofit. In his free time, Nathan enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his wife and four children.

JASON LANGER +
Jason Langer is a Director at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Jason started his career in corporate finance at the American Express Company, where he served on the Corporate Planning team. In that role, Jason analyzed and reported financial results across each of the various businesses within the company. He was later promoted to join the Global Commercial Services division at American Express to evaluate investment returns and efficiencies with a focus on the domestic sales organization.
At Harper, Jason is responsible for working with developers and existing property owners on evaluating their portfolios, with an emphasis on debt solutions.
Jason graduated from the Smith School of Business, at the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in finance.

DOVID KATZ +
Dovid Katz is a Vice President at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. He specializes in FHA/HUD permanent financing for developers, owners, investors, and operators throughout the United States. Dovid also provides additional value to his clients by assisting with land, value-add opportunities, alternative new construction financing, and advising on the placement of equity, preferred equity, mezzanine financing, and bridge funding.
Dovid is a father of five. He lives in Teaneck, New Jersey, with his wife, Daniella. Dovid is an active member of his community and enjoys volunteering his time to various organizations. He is also an avid athlete and enjoys skiing and playing team sports.
Dovid began his career in AdTech sales, where he built out the sales footprint for IDG and SpotX/Magnite. He held many roles throughout his AdTech career, including serving as a board advisor and consultant to various companies in the space.
Dovid graduated from Yeshiva University Sy Syms School of Business with a B.S. in Business and Management.

BEN SCHLESINGER +
Ben Schlesinger is a Vice President at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Ben started his career in the construction industry managing projects for a waterproofing and roofing subcontractor. In that role, he learned the technicalities of the industry and was later promoted to a business development position to grow the company footprint throughout New York City. Ben served as a crucial advocate for his clients, guiding them on how to proceed with the trade via deep relationships with architects and engineers.
At Harper, Ben is responsible for working with developers and property owners on evaluating their current and future portfolios, with a focus on debt restructuring.
Ben graduated from Queens College with a degree in Business and Psychology.

LANCE GOLLER +
Lance Goller is a Vice President at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Lance began his career at RSM US LLP, providing tax & advisory services to commercial real estate clients. Most recently, before joining Harper, Lance headed the financial operations of an apparel startup, leading their first preferred equity financing round.
At Harper, Lance currently works with multifamily property owners to obtain HUD financing products.
Lance graduated from Sy Syms School of Business with a BS degree in Accounting. He holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from the State of New York.

ANDREW LANGER +
Andrew Langer is a loan originator at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Andrew started his career at Lincoln International, a middle-market investment bank. Andrew worked in their capital advisory group, which specialized in special situations and debt advisory services. In that role, he was involved in all facets of the deal process including origination, transaction structuring, and deal execution for engagements related to distressed M&A, recapitalizations, refinancings, and restructurings.
At Harper, Andrew works with multifamily property owners to obtain HUD-insured financing products.
Andrew graduated through the William E. Macaulay Honors College at Baruch College with a degree in finance.

STEVEN JUSKOWICZ +
Steven Juskowicz is Chief Operating Officer of Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Steven started his career in commercial real estate finance at one of the largest HUD lenders in the country, where he served as a senior underwriter focusing exclusively on HUD’s multifamily programs. During that time, Steven worked on more than 100 projects, with loan amounts totaling more than $3 billion. Such projects included purchases, refinancing, new construction, substantial rehabilitation, and supplemental loans.
Steven manages operations and corporate functions at Harper.
Steven completed the Mortgage Bankers Association's rigorous FHA Multifamily Underwriter Training Program and now serves as an instructor in the program. He received a JD degree from New York University School of Law and a BA degree from Brooklyn College.

ROBERT SHEDDY +
Robert Sheddy is Chief Underwriter of Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Bob was most recently the Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter of Multifamily & Healthcare Finance, LLC. Before holding that position, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriter of Oppenheimer Multifamily Housing & Healthcare Finance, Inc.
Bob began working with HUD lending programs in 1988. He founded Heartland Capital Corporation in 1990 and later joined Keycorp Real Estate Capital Markets, Inc. Bob has specialized in multifamily and healthcare loans for more than 30 years.
Bob received an MBA from the University of Utah and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas. He has served as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well.

WENDY FARMER +
Wendy Farmer is Deputy Chief Underwriter at Harper Capital Partners, LLC.
Wendy began her real estate career in the compliance, oversight, and management of affordable multifamily housing. Wendy then transitioned into working with several leading multifamily developers specializing in FHA affordable multifamily housing. In 2008, Wendy shifted to an FHA lender specializing in the financing of multifamily housing. In the past ten years, Wendy has underwritten over $450 million in loans across the various HUD multifamily programs, with an emphasis on new construction, refinance, and LIHTC transactions.
At Harper, Wendy is responsible for underwriting affordable and market-rate transactions that are eligible for various HUD programs.
Wendy graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate. Wendy is a licensed real estate broker.

ADAM LIVI +
Adam Livi is an underwriter at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Adam joined Harper in 2019 as an intern and has since become an integral part of the Harper team.
Adam's responsibilities include analysis of financial statements, comprehensive review and evaluation of third-party reports, and preparation of loan applications in accordance with HUD requirements. Adam also assists in streamlining business operations through refinement of internal financial models and implementation of templates and checklists to better organize and simplify the underwriting process.

RICHARD BONDESON +
Richard Bondeson is an underwriter at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Rich was most recently a Senior Director and HUD Apartment and Healthcare Underwriter with Gershman Investment Corp.
Rich began working with HUD lending programs in 2004 and has specialized in underwriting multifamily and healthcare facility loans.
Rich graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in finance and real estate. He has also served as a real estate appraiser and maintains MAI and SRA designations.

JOSEPH GOLDBERG +
Joseph Goldberg is an analyst at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Joseph started off his career in real estate management, where he studied the residential, commercial, hospitality, and development fields. He was able to learn the finances and assess the risk of every industry he has been a part of.
Joseph is a part of Harper’s underwriting department, where he specializes in refinancing of multifamily properties. He examines loan terms, provides market analysis, analyzes borrower’s financial status, reviews appraisals, and assists in preparation of documentation required by HUD.
Joseph graduated Brooklyn College with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and finance.

DEAN WANTLAND +
Dean Wantland is Senior Vice President of Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Dean is responsible for all regulatory compliance issues under HUD and Ginnie Mae. He is also responsible for all loan closing activities and loan servicing operations for Harper. Dean has over 30 years’ experience with agency multifamily and healthcare loan programs.
While Dean has significant expertise in the area of compliance and quality control, his experience covers the full range of HUD business functions including origination, underwriting, closing, and secondary marketing activities, as well as construction loan administration and permanent loan servicing.
Dean received his B.S., Business Administration from Creighton University and has completed a portion of the curriculum towards a JD degree from St. Louis University’s School of Law. He actively participates in various industry groups and maintains an ongoing and open dialogue with HUD and Ginnie Mae officials.

EMILY ARTHUR +
Emily Arthur is Vice President of Loan Servicing & Asset Management at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Emily started her career in residential mortgage servicing and quickly transitioned into commercial real estate finance. Most recently, Emily worked for one of the largest HUD lenders in the country, where she served as Associate Director of Asset Management focusing exclusively on HUD’s multifamily and healthcare financing programs.
With over 15 years of industry experience, Emily has significant expertise in FHA loan servicing, post-closing transaction underwriting, risk management, and, most importantly—advocating for her clients.
Emily received her B.A. in Philosophy from Texas Tech University and her MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She is a certified property inspector through the Mortgage Bankers Association.

VERA RUSYN MASSEY +
Vera Rusyn Massey is Vice President of Loan Servicing & Asset Management at Harper Capital Partners, LLC. Vera has over 20 years of industry experience with emphasis in accounting, investor reporting, vendor management, and commercial loan administration. During her career, Vera grew into an accomplished leader in the mortgage industry, overseeing operations for multiple commercial product types including Ginnie Mae, USDA, bridge, and mezzanine portfolios while ensuring compliance and quality control. Vera graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree and received PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute.
